Your public portal is where users interact with your product. Make it feel like home by customizing the branding, theme, and settings.

Accessing Portal Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings → Public Portal in your dashboard
  2. Make your changes
  3. Click Save Changes
  4. Your portal updates instantly at yourproject.feedovate.com

Branding Your Portal

Make your portal feel like a natural extension of your product. Upload your company or product logo to appear in the portal header. Requirements:
  • Formats: PNG, JPG, or SVG
  • Recommended Size: 200x200px or 200x50px (horizontal)
  • Max File Size: 2MB
To Upload:
  1. Go to Settings → Public Portal
  2. Click Upload Logo under Branding
  3. Select your file
  4. Logo appears immediately
Use a transparent PNG for best results. The logo adapts to both light and dark themes.

Project Name & Description

Your project name and description appear at the top of your portal.
  • Name: 1-100 characters (e.g., “Acme SaaS”)
  • Description: Up to 500 characters (supports plain text)

Vote on features, report bugs, and see what we're working on.

Theme Settings

Choose how your portal looks to visitors.

Light Theme

Clean, bright interface perfect for daytime browsing.

Dark Theme

Easy on the eyes with a modern dark aesthetic.
Theme choice is site-wide and affects all users. Users cannot currently switch between themes.

Custom Domain

Host your portal on your own domain instead of yourproject.feedovate.com.

Setting Up a Custom Domain

Choose Your Domain

Decide on a subdomain like:
  • feedback.yourcompany.com
  • ideas.yourcompany.com
  • community.yourcompany.com

Add DNS Record

In your domain provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, etc.), add a CNAME record:
  • Name: feedback (or your chosen subdomain)
  • Value: cname.feedovate.com
  • TTL: Auto or 3600

Update Feedovate Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Public Portal
  2. Under Custom Domain, enter your full domain: 
    feedback.yourcompany.com
  3. Click Save Changes

Verify & Wait

Feedovate will verify your DNS settings. This can take 5-60 minutes.Once verified, your portal will be accessible at your custom domain with automatic HTTPS.
Custom domains are included with the Lifetime Plan.
Add custom links to your portal footer.
  1. Go to Settings → Public Portal
  2. Scroll to Footer Links
  3. Click Add Link
  4. Enter:
    • Label: Link text (e.g., “Privacy Policy”)
    • URL: Full URL including https://
  5. Click Save
Limits:
  • Up to 10 footer links
  • Each label: max 50 characters

Auto-Approval Settings

Control whether feedback and comments need approval before appearing publicly.

Auto-Approve Feedback

Enabled (Default):
  • New feedback appears immediately on the portal
Disabled:
  • New feedback stays private until manually approved
  • You review and approve in Feedback → Moderation

Auto-Approve Comments

Enabled (Default):
  • Comments appear immediately
Disabled:
  • Comments require moderation before appearing
  • Review in Comments → Pending
Auto-approval increases engagement but may allow spam. Use with caution if your portal is fully anonymous.
