Accessing Account Settings

  1. Click your profile avatar in the bottom left corner
  2. Select Account Settings from the dropdown
  3. Navigate to the tab you need

Profile Information

Update your personal details visible to your team and in activity logs.

Update Information

Edit any of these fields:
  • Full Name: Your display name (visible to team)
  • Email Address: Your login email
  • Avatar: Profile picture (optional)
  • Job Title: Optional field for team context

Save Changes

Click Save Profile to update your information

Uploading an Avatar

Make yourself recognizable to your team:
  1. Click Upload Avatar
  2. Select an image file:
    • Formats: JPG, PNG, or GIF
    • Max Size: 2MB
    • Recommended: Square image, 200x200px or larger
  3. Crop if needed
  4. Click Save
Your avatar appears in comments, activity logs, and team member lists. A clear photo or logo helps team recognition.

Email Settings

Changing Your Email Address

Your email is used for login and notifications.

Go to Email Settings

Enter New Email

Type your new email address

Verify Old Email

We’ll send a verification code to your current emailEnter the code to confirm it’s really you

Verify New Email

We’ll send a code to your new emailEnter it to confirm you own the address

Email Updated

Your new email is now your login
Make sure you have access to both email addresses before changing. If you lose access to your current email, contact support.

Password & Security

Changing Your Password

Update your password for security best practices.

Enter Current Password

Verify your identity with your existing password

Create New Password

Enter a new password meeting these requirements:
  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number

Confirm New Password

Re-type your new password to avoid typos

Save Password

Click Update PasswordYou’ll be logged out and need to sign in again
Use a password manager like 1Password, Bitwarden, or LastPass to generate and store strong, unique passwords.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Coming Soon: Two-factor authentication is currently in development and will be available in a future update.
When available, 2FA will add an extra layer of security by requiring:
  1. Your password (something you know)
  2. A code from your phone (something you have)

Active Sessions

View and manage where you’re currently logged in.

Viewing Active Sessions

  1. Go to Account SettingsSecurity
  2. Scroll to Active Sessions
  3. See all devices and locations:
    • Device type (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet)
    • Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
    • IP address
    • Last activity
    • Current session (marked)

Revoking Sessions

Logged in on a shared computer and forgot to log out?
  1. Find the session in Active Sessions
  2. Click Revoke next to the device
  3. That session is immediately logged out
Revoking your current session will log you out. Make sure you save any unsaved work first.

Revoking All Sessions

If you suspect unauthorized access:
  1. Click Revoke All Other Sessions
  2. Every device except your current one is logged out
  3. You’ll need to re-login on those devices

Data & Privacy

Account Deletion

Permanent Action: Deleting your account is irreversible and will remove all your personal data.
To delete your account:
  1. Go to Account SettingsSecurityDelete Account
  2. Understand what’s deleted:
    • ❌ Your user profile
    • ❌ Your login credentials
    • ✅ Feedback you created (attributed to “Deleted User”)
    • ✅ Projects you own (must transfer ownership first)
  3. Transfer project ownership if needed
  4. Type your email to confirm
  5. Enter your password
  6. Click Permanently Delete My Account
If you change your mind within 30 days, contact support. We may be able to restore your account.

Connected Accounts

Google OAuth

If you signed up with Google:
  • Connected: Your Google account is linked for easy login
  • Email: Displays the Gmail address used
  • Disconnect: You can unlink Google (only if you’ve set a password first)
To Disconnect Google:
  1. First, set a password in Security settings
  2. Then go to Connected AccountsGoogle OAuth
  3. Click Disconnect
Make sure you’ve set a password before disconnecting Google OAuth, or you won’t be able to log in.

Best Practices

Use Strong Passwords

Create unique, complex passwords. Don’t reuse across services.

Keep Email Updated

Ensure your email address is accessible for password resets.

Review Sessions Monthly

Check active sessions monthly and revoke any you don’t recognize.

Update Avatar

Use a recognizable photo so teammates know who you are.

Account Recovery

Forgot Password

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click Forgot Password?
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your inbox for a reset link
  5. Click the link and set a new password
  6. Link expires in 1 hour

Can’t Access Email

If you lost access to your email:
  1. Contact [email protected] from a different email
  2. Provide:
    • Your account name
    • Project(s) you own or are a member of
    • Approximate account creation date
  3. We’ll verify your identity and help you regain access

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, but typically unnecessary. One account can:
  • Own multiple projects
  • Be a member of many projects
  • Switch between projects easily
You cannot delete your account if you own projects.First:
  1. Transfer ownership to another Admin
  2. Or delete the projects entirely
Then you can delete your account.
Feedovate uses your email as your username (no separate usernames).To change it, update your email address in Email Settings.
